Historical Evolution of Dongtou District

Dongtou County has a long history, but it has a long history of development. According to the cultural relics unearthed in Jiumu Mountain, there were human activities in Dongtou Islands as early as 3000 years ago.

In the ninth year of Sui Dynasty (589), Yongning County was changed to Yongjia County, and it was placed under the state. Now Dongtou County is Yongjia County. In the twelfth year of Emperor Kai (592), the county was changed into a surrounding state.

In the fifth year of Tang Wude (622), it was divided into two parts: Dongjiazhou, Yongjia County and Lecheng County. Today, Dongtou County is Lecheng County, which belongs to the Eastern History. In the seventh year of Wude (624), Lecheng County was withdrawn and merged into Yongjia County. Today, Dongtou County reverted to Yongjia County. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), Dong Jiazhou was abolished and Li Kuo House in Yongjia County was established. In the second year of Emperor Gaozong (675), the state was divided into Wenzhou and Yongjia. In the first year (689), Lecheng County moved to Wenzhou. Today, the territory of Dongtou County belongs to Lecheng County.

During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Lecheng County belonged to Wu Yueguo.

Hou Liang Kaiping two years (908), changed to Yueqing. Today, Dongtou County belongs to Yueqing County and still belongs to Wenzhou.

In the first year of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty (1265), it was returned to Ruian House.

In the sixth year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1728), Yuhuantang was established and placed under Wenzhou Prefecture. Today, Dongtou County is the 20th capital of Yuhuan Hall.

In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), Yuhuantang was changed to Yuhuan County and placed under Ouhai Road. Today, Dongtou County is located in fourth area, Yuhuan County. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), Dongtou County established Sanpan District.

1949 Dongtou territory was liberated for the first time, and 1952 and 15 Dongtou territory still belonged to Yuhuan county after its final liberation. From 1 March, 9651day, the county people's committee was officially opened to the public. 1981September 22nd, Wenzhou area merged with Wenzhou City, and Dongtou was transferred to Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

On July 23rd, 20 15, the State Council approved Dongtou County in Wenzhou to be removed from the county and set up a district. On September 1 day, Wenzhou held a mobilization meeting and awarding ceremony for withdrawing counties from Dongtou.
