Zhashui is located in the south of Shaanxi Province, in the northwest of Shangluo City, and at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains, the geographical boundary between north and south of China. It borders Chang 'an County and Lantian County in the north, Shangzhou District and Shanyang County in the east and Zhen 'an County in the south.
