During the epidemic, the visa on arrival in Thailand expired. Does it matter if you don't renew your contract?
Does it matter if landing visa doesn't renew his contract? After the date of 14 is confirmed, there is another thing about the expiration of the visa on arrival in Thailand.
Visa on arrival, Thailand is valid for *** 15 days and 14 days, which means our visa on arrival is valid until the 23rd. Many people said that they don't have to worry about this problem, because the cost of visa extension is 1900 baht, and there will definitely be a lot of people waiting in line at the immigration office in Thailand. One day overdue, a fine of 500 baht will do. But I still want to make sure.
For this matter, I called the New Zealand Immigration Bureau again. Although the immigration operator did not explicitly urge me to extend my visa, he repeatedly stressed to me that immigration requires us to "all the procedures for entering and leaving the third country should be legal."
So we still go to renew the number 18. There are many people waiting in line. We went at 7: 00 a.m. and got a new visa at 5: 00 p.m.
Whether it is necessary to postpone the signing of the contract is indeed a matter of opinion, but I personally suggest not to take risks.
Thailand Immigration Bureau Announces Expiration of Visa on Arrival According to a recent announcement issued by Thailand Immigration Bureau, due to the closure of Wuhan, Huanggang and Ezhou airports, Thailand has granted visa-free access to China tourists stranded in Thailand. From now on, the scope of application of the above policy will be extended to all China citizens who enter the country with tourist visas or visas on arrival and are stranded in Thailand due to the novel coronavirus epidemic. The specific procedures will be handled directly when leaving the country.
The circular said that Thailand stressed that the introduction of the temporary policy does not mean that China citizens can stay in Thailand for a long time at will. China citizens who enter the country with tourist visas or landing tourist visas and are stranded due to the epidemic need to extend their visas. They must first issue letters to the China Embassy and Consulate, and the Immigration Bureau will handle them as appropriate. As in the past, the Immigration Bureau of Thailand will charge a fee of 1.900 baht (about 420 yuan RMB).
In view of the above policy of Thailand, the China Embassy in Thailand will issue free letters of consular assistance to China citizens who intend to apply for visa extension.
According to the notice of the Embassy, the applicant for the letter of consular assistance is a China citizen who recently entered Thailand with a tourist visa and landing visa, but is unable to return to China due to the epidemic and intends to apply for visa extension. When applying, you must provide the original China passport and a copy of the information page, visa page or landing visa entry stamp page, and leave your contact information on the copy.
The embassy said that if more than one person needs to handle it at the same time, one person can handle it with all the materials; If you need to consult relevant policies or requirements, you can call the embassy or consulate to get insurance.
In addition, Colonel Cheng Lun, deputy spokesman of the Immigration Bureau, reminded the China public of the following matters:
1. People from all provinces and cities in China who are stranded in Thailand due to the epidemic need to apply to the Embassy of China in Thailand for a letter of proof of reasons, and then go through the visa extension formalities at the Immigration Bureau;
2. China people whose visas have been extended for 7 days cannot directly apply to the Immigration Bureau for another extension. Instead, you should apply to the China Embassy in Thailand for a letter of proof of the reasons for the further extension 3-4 days before the visa expires, and then apply to the Immigration Bureau for a further extension;
3. Although the Immigration Bureau exempted the detention penalty, it does not mean that China people can stay for a long time at will. If they don't have a confirmation letter from the embassy and apply for visa extension correctly, they will be recorded by the immigration bureau, and those who reach a certain number of days will be blacklisted.
