How long does it take to get a UAE work visa?

It usually takes about ten working days.

Work visas are processed by the employing company at the Immigration Bureau in the United Arab Emirates.

The main things you need to provide personally are:

1. Copy of passport

2. 2 passport photos (2 inches)

3. Some basic personal information. Such as residential address in China, parents’ names, personal education, marital status, whether you have been to the United Arab Emirates, etc. This information is relatively simple and easy to provide.

It is important to note that in some emirates, such as Dubai, there are regulations that require a certificate of high school diploma or above. However, this certification is sometimes not required. You should specifically ask the employer whether it requires this to apply for your work visa. If you have to, you must apply for it in China in advance. It takes about a month to get this certification. You need to first have the English version notarized locally, and then go to the UAE Embassy in China for certification.

If the materials submitted to the local immigration bureau in the United Arab Emirates are qualified, you can generally receive an electronic visa within 2 weeks. If it exceeds three weeks, there is definitely a problem and you need to go to the immigration office to find out the reason.

The chance of being rejected for a UAE work visa is very low. The reasons for visa rejection are usually issues with the employer or your name is the same or very similar to someone on the blacklist.
