Where is the source of Dongjiang River?

The source of Dongjiang River is located in the south of Yaojibo Mountain in Xunwu County, Jiangxi Province. Dongjiang River is one of the four major water systems flowing into the South China Sea in Guangdong.

Dongjiang River, called Huangshui River, Jiangxun River and Longchuan River in ancient times, originated from Yajiboshan Mountain in Xunwu County, Jiangxi Province, and the source river is Santong River. It flows southwest through Longchuan County, Dongyuan County, Yuancheng District, Huicheng District and Boluo County of Guangdong Province to Shilong Town of Dongguan City, enters the Pearl River Delta, and joins Shiziyang in the southeast of Yudong Lianwei in Huangpu District, which is one of the main streams of the Pearl River system. Dongjiang River basin covers an area of 35,340 square kilometers, with a river length of 562 kilometers and an average annual runoff of 25.7 billion cubic meters. Dongjiang River in Fengshuba, Longchuan County, Guangdong Province is formed by the confluence of the main stream Xunwu Water (the east source) and the tributary Dingnan Water (also known as Beiling Water and Xiyuan Jiuqu Water). Xunwu water flows from the source of Yaojibo Mountain, through the water sources in Xunwu County, Chengjiang, Jitan, Wenfeng, Nanqiao, Liu Che and Long Ting, into Xiaozhai, Dutianhe and Fengshuba reservoirs in Xingning, Guangdong, and flows into Dongjiang.
