There are 5 national nature reserves and 8 provincial nature reserves in Yanbian, with a forest coverage rate of 80.8%. Rich in ginseng, velvet antler and mink, it is known as the "three treasures of Northeast China". The output of ginseng antler ranks first in the world, and it is also the largest apple and pear production base in the world.
