Generally, it takes about half a year for overseas applicants to apply for TR, and about one month for domestic applicants. Then start a two-year TR period, during which the immigration office may visit the house to check the real situation of the marriage. After two years, you will receive the phase completion letter and the second phase (PR) application form from the Immigration Bureau. Prepare the materials and mail them to you, and you will receive the official PR approval letter in about three months.

During the TR period, if the marriage cannot survive, or the Australian spouse submits a termination guarantee to the Immigration Bureau, the TR visa will generally be cancelled unless there is domestic violence. Even if you divorce after PR, it doesn't matter.
