What English books are you going to study abroad?

Personal experience, in fact, you don't need to buy anything, which wastes money. After going out, I can't even finish reading the textbooks. Buying books is purely a burden (to move, I have to dust blahblahblah). If you are really bored, watch the drama and think about how to get along well with your classmates. To tell the truth, my reading was completely improved by eating textbooks after going abroad. I remember the words and materials very deeply, because my second active learning based on the lecture content was very different from blind reading.

What I want to say is that reading some useless books that have nothing to do with your major will waste time. If you really want to take the initiative, I would suggest that you log on to your school's website and see if there are any required textbooks (shanzhai version or pd f, of course) that you can actually buy in China. If so, you can also try to search online for any syllabus (published by students who have taken the same course with you before, or shared with you), and then you can read the teaching materials according to the syllabus, which I believe will be very efficient.

Take home: Studying abroad is not to learn a foreign language, but to learn their advanced technology and culture in a foreign language. Never read to improve your reading, but to improve the specific knowledge you want to learn.
