Where did the ancestors of Jiangxi come from?

Most of the ancestors of Jiangxi people immigrated from the Central Plains after the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty.

The aborigines who lived in Jiangxi in prehistoric times were Jiangxi giants. In the distant prehistoric times, early humans had settled in Jiangxi. In the historical materials such as "Taiping Yulan" and "Ganzhou Fuzhi", Jiangxi giants are also mentioned, which are generally called "Mountain Capital" and "Wooden Guest". They have lived in deep mountains and forests for a long time (such as 300 mountains). They look like people, with long arms, dark skin and reversed heels, and often cut down trees in the mountains. You can see them in the distance, but when they come near, they will hide.

From the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, as well as the migration of population and agricultural labor force to the south, the development of Jiangxi Province has been along the estuary of Ganjiang River and Poyang Lake Plain, all the way upstream. Due to the sharp increase of northern immigrants from the south to the Pearl River Delta, the dispute between host and guest began to appear in the Pearl River Basin. With the Hakkas returning north to southern Jiangxi, eastern Guangdong and southern Fujian, the contradiction between the Hakkas returning north and the local aborigines began to appear in southern Jiangxi. The civil strife in southern Jiangxi and Wang Yangming's rebellion in southern Jiangxi occurred under this background.
