Both the old overseas Chinese and the new generation of China people who went abroad after the reform and opening up have one thing in common: they have a deeper affection for China after the reform and opening up, and their patriotism and friendly enthusiasm have been greatly enhanced. When Hong Kong and Macao returned to China and won the Olympic bid, they all rejoiced and held various celebrations. When they saw SARS and natural disasters in China, they were in a hurry and donated money and materials to support the country. They are extremely concerned about the great cause of the reunification of the motherland, indignant at the rampant activities of the "Taiwan independence" elements, and look forward to the early reunification of China; They are very happy with the achievements and progress made in domestic economic construction and do their best for domestic development.

Overseas patriotism

Why is this happening? China people who went abroad found that although they left China, their feelings, spirits, hearts and vital interests were still inseparable from China. When China became powerful, they were highly valued abroad. If China is chaotic, backward and poor, it will be difficult for them to stand up straight. It can be said that their bodies are far away from China, but they have deeper feelings for China.

When I was in America, I met a girl of 17 years old. She immigrated to America with her parents for several years. When chatting, I asked her if she had read the local Chinese newspaper. She said not to look. I asked why? She said that when she opened an article full of scolding China, she felt uneasy. It turns out that the only place where she lives is a free anti-China Chinese newspaper. The little girl's emotions and feelings are very representative. She was educated in China since she was a child, so it is naturally unacceptable to denigrate our country. The reason for doing this is actually very simple. Just like a person wandering far away from his parents, when he is around his parents, he may complain about the poor food cooked by his parents, or he may be disgusted because his parents nag and interfere with him too much. But one day, when he is far away from his parents, he will naturally think of their kindness and deep love, which can never be replaced. How can he not miss his parents! If he finds that some foreigners are hostile to their parents, attacking and slandering them, he will definitely stand up and defend them.
