Hongzhou water storage lake in Huixian County

It is reported that the total length of the main canal of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in Hongzhou, Huixian County is 48.99 kilometers.

The sites for the Hongzhou Lake Diversion and Storage Project and the Bow-Wall Diversion Project are both located on the left bank of the main canal of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. And it is close to the main canal, so it is very fast and safe to regulate and store water in and out of the reservoir, which is of great significance to improving the water supply guarantee rate of the middle line project.

According to the site selection plan, the total water storage volume of the Hui County-City Section of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project can reach 124 million cubic meters. The construction of this water storage project has five major advantages: location, land, resources, geography, and water quality protection. After the project is completed, it will achieve reasonable distribution of water, improve water efficiency, and ensure water safety. In addition, after the completion of the project, two artificial lakes of approximately 11,000 acres and 7,000 acres will be formed, which will play a positive role in developing the rural tourism service industry and improving the local ecological environment.
