Why do many Fujian people emigrate overseas?

Fujian used to be a poor place, especially southern Fujian, with a large population and a small population, and people's lives were hard. Many people go abroad to make a living, which is called going to Southeast Asia. Some people make money after going abroad, send them home and build big houses at home. The quality of life has changed, thus attracting more people to make a living. Therefore, it is a tradition and a historical tradition for Fujian people to work in the United States. Besides going to America, there are also Britain and Japan. People in Changle, Fujian generally go to the United States, while people in Fuqing generally go to Britain and Japan.
