Instructions for passport application in Macao Special Administrative Region

1. Anyone who meets all the following conditions at the same time may apply for an e-passport of the Macao Special Administrative Region:

(1) is a citizen of China;

(2) Holding a permanent identity card of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Note: China citizens referred to in the above (1) are based on the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China and the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China of the NPC Standing Committee.

Before the issuance of the permanent identity card mentioned in item (2) above, it shall be implemented in accordance with Article 9 of Law 8/ 1999 of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

II. Documents to be submitted

(1) Original permanent identity card of Macao Special Administrative Region (verified and copied and returned to the applicant);

(2) Two recent half-inch bareheaded photos with a white background;

(3) Holding a travel permit of the Macao Special Administrative Region;

(four) the original passport of the Macao Special Administrative Region;

(5) If the original passport of the Macao Special Administrative Region cannot be submitted, a certificate of loss reporting must be submitted;

(6) If the applicant is under the age of 18, a copy of the identity certificate of the parent or guardian. Parents or guardians must sign the application form;

(7) Passports are issued in the form of personal passports, and the spouse and children of the applicant must apply for passports separately.

(8) If the applicant is in Macao, he/she must apply to the Macao Identity Certification Bureau in person. The charge is MOP 300 yuan.

Accelerate the collection of MOP 150.

If the original travel document cannot be submitted or the travel document needs to be replaced due to damage, the additional fees to be paid are as follows:

First time: MOP150 was added;

The second time: 300 yuan was added;

The third time: 600 yuan was added;

Fourth time: adding 1200 yuan;

For the fifth time or more: 2400 yuan will be charged. Ordinary applications can be collected within 10 working days. Accelerate the application and get it within 2 working days. Note: (1) The above collection date is calculated from the day after the application is received and the required documents are complete. Under special circumstances, the bureau may adjust the above time.

(2) If the previous travel documents are damaged, stolen or lost, the time limit for issuing new travel documents can be extended to 60 days at the longest, in which case, the accelerated application will not be accepted. If necessary, it is necessary to submit reasonable supporting documents to our bureau in written form, and our bureau will reply within 2 working days. 1. Issue a new passport to the obligee under the following circumstances:

(1) The validity period of the passport has expired, or the validity period is less than six months, or the validity period is longer than six months, but it is considered by the director of the identity authentication bureau that there are special reasons; (2) The visa page has been filled in; (3) It is confirmed by the identity certification bureau that it must be cancelled; (4) Damage, theft or loss, etc. , but the creditor shall make a statement; (5) The identity information of the passport holder has changed.

2. When changing the passport, the applicant must submit the original travel document of the Macao Special Administrative Region. If it cannot be submitted, it must produce written proof that the facts have been reported to the police authorities, and promise that even if the replaced passport is withdrawn, it will not be used and will be returned to the identity certificate bureau.

Three, the identity certificate bureau can take necessary actions to verify the situation referred to in item (4) of the first paragraph, in this case, the issuance period can be extended to 60 days at the longest.

Four, when issuing the new passport referred to in the first paragraph, the relevant information will be indicated on the passport, including the issuing department, number and date of the old passport.

Five, due to damage can not submit the original travel documents of the Macao Special Administrative Region or request to change your passport, you have to pay extra. 1. Travel documents that do not meet the legal requirements will be cancelled and withdrawn by the administrative authorities or detained by the judicial authorities.

Two, if the travel document is lost or stolen, the holder shall immediately notify the police authorities of the relevant facts.

Three, the forbidden person, quasi forbidden person's guardian or guarantor may request the identity certificate bureau to cancel and detain the travel documents issued to the relevant forbidden person or quasi forbidden person.

Four, the identity certificate bureau found that the travel documents referred to in the preceding paragraph were used, can ask the police authorities to assist in the seizure. 1. Holders of valid travel documents are free to leave the Macao Special Administrative Region without special approval and have the right to return to the Macao Special Administrative Region unless prohibited by law.

2. Holders of travel documents shall not enter or leave the Macao Special Administrative Region until they have gone through the formalities prescribed by law.
