Built in 19 12, this house is located in Bishop, Long Island, new york. It was designed by Raphael Gustavino Jr He and his father designed the tile domes of some landmark buildings in new york, including the Grand Central Station, Alice Island and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The inside and outside of this "tile house" are designed with Gustavino's iconic tiles and arches. The Moorish style of the house reflects the Spanish ancestry of the family: Mr. Gustavino was an architect in Barcelona before immigrating to the United States. The house was handed down by the Gustavino family to Josephina Kramer, who put it up for sale in 2005. There was once a potential buyer who was not interested in the house itself, but liked its location, Da Nan Wan, where he planned to rebuild his new house.

Vincent Crisci, the current owner of the house, tried to save the house after learning about it.
