Chongqing, which lives deep inland, has rugged terrain. Why is it developed?

Rich in water. In Chongqing, the main stream of the Yangtze River passes through the city and is located at the intersection of Jialing River and Yangtze River, an important tributary of the Yangtze River. The whole Chongqing is surrounded by rivers. Abundant water resources are beneficial to urban construction and industrial development.

The location is excellent. Chongqing is located in the southwest of China, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the southeast of Sichuan Basin. Located in the transitional zone between the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, it borders Hubei and Hunan provinces in the east, Guizhou province in the south, Sichuan province in the west and Shaanxi province in the northeast. It can be said that Chongqing connects the east and west of China. If China wants to develop the western region, Chongqing will be an important city and transportation hub.

The climate is very good. Chongqing is located in the southwest of China, with a subtropical monsoon climate. Also in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, southeast of Sichuan Basin, the climate is pleasant.

Historical origin. Chongqing has a long history. As far back as the Paleolithic Age more than 20,000 years ago, human beings thrived on this land, which is the birthplace of Bayu culture. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Nanjing, the former country, was violently attacked by the Japanese army, and Chongqing became the wartime capital. 1945, Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai-shek met in Chongqing, which was the Chongqing negotiation that shocked China and foreign countries. During the War of Liberation, Chongqing became the largest city in southwest China.

Immigration culture. Chongqing 200 years ago was just a county town near the Yangtze River, with a population of less than100000. However, when War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's Chongqing was the wartime capital, millions of immigrants from Zhejiang, Hunan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangsu and Shanghai moved to Chongqing and its surrounding areas. It also experienced three large-scale migration waves during the Anti-Japanese War: Huguang filling Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai moving inland, and third-line construction. The floating population in the main urban area accounts for more than 80% of the total population, and the population has surged from 280,000 in 19 16 to 2.62 million in 1945.
