Why doesn't the United States accept refugees?

The main reason why Trump does not accept refugees is that, in his view, these refugees are like "Trojans". The people of this country will be deeply worried about the serious security problems and terrorism in this country. Trump is using it. Trump's initial impression of immigrants, especially refugees, is not very good, which will not bring any positive benefits to the United States. Not only refugees from the Middle East, but also some refugees from South America, such as Trump. Don't you want to build a border wall to stop it?

What Trump ignores is that the immigration review system in the United States is the strictest in the western world. The whole screening process ranges from 18 months to 2 years. It involves several federal intelligence and security agencies, which could have conducted a series of security checks. Refugees arriving in the United States are the most vulnerable in conflict areas. Many people are women, children, religious minorities and victims of violence or torture. What the president needs to realize is that if he doesn't accept Syrian refugees, he is helping Islamic countries to establish their claim that "the western world is unwilling to help Muslims, and their ultimate hope of salvation will turn to Islamic countries".

The United States decided to occupy Iraq. 10 years later, the United States decided to leave Iraq. The United States decided to secretly support or at least encourage the Arab Spring movement. This has had disastrous consequences in Syria. As a result, a new organization named "Islamic State" in the world has filled the power vacuum in Syria and Iraq. The organization cooperated with the United States to create a refugee crisis. Of course, the United States is not the only participant in this crisis. My own country, Turkey, has made a lot of efforts to create this crisis. Many Arab countries have done the same. The same is true of other "American allies."

Therefore, these countries have a moral responsibility to take in refugees. But in the nation-state, there is no right to enforce this behavior, so refugees will only go where they can. Every country deals with immigration in its own way. Some countries are kind and willing to provide assistance, while others only have troops, fences and detention centers. The American government believes that the European crisis is not their task of solving problems, but the obligation of the United Nations. But America seems to have forgotten who caused all this.
