When the account is transferred, the ID number remains unchanged. Citizenship number is a unique and life-long identity code for every citizen, which is compiled by public security organs according to the national standard of citizenship number. Therefore, the account migration will not affect the ID number.

According to Article 3 of the Law on Resident Identity Cards, the items to be registered in a resident identity card include: name, gender, nationality, date of birth, location of permanent residence, citizen identity number, personal photo, fingerprint information, validity period of the certificate and issuing authority. Citizens applying for obtaining, renewing or replacing resident identity cards shall register their fingerprint information.
