In which city is Xiaolangdi?

Xiaolangdi is located in Mengjin County, Luoyang City, Henan Province.

The upper boundary of Jiyuan City is 30 km from Sanmenxia Water Control Project130, and the lower boundary is from Zhengzhou Huayuankou 128 km. The dam site is located at the exit of the last canyon in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, and it is also the only control project below Sanmenxia, the main stream of the Yellow River. It can not only control the flood of the Yellow River well, but also use its sediment retention capacity to carry out water and sediment regulation and slow down the sedimentation of the downstream riverbed.

Introduction:

It is understood that the Xiaolangdi water control project consists of a river dam, a flood discharge structure and a diversion power generation system. The river dam is a clayey inclined core rockfill dam with a crest elevation of 28 1m and a maximum dam height of 160m.

The flood discharge system is composed of nine flood discharge tunnels and 1 spillway, with the maximum discharge capacity of 15307m3/s and the designed flood control capacity of Xiaolangdi Reservoir of 4.05 billion m3. It is jointly used with Sanmenxia Reservoir, Luhun Reservoir and Guxian Reservoir, and the flood control standard of the lower Yellow River is basically once in a thousand years by using Dongping Lake, so that Beijindi is no longer used for flood storage and detention.
