1, Wuwei: Wuwei City (Liangzhou) was named after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to show the "martial arts and military strength" of the Han imperial army, also known as Liangcheng. It used to be the third largest city in China, the military and political center and the economic and cultural center in the northwest.

2. Jiuquan: Jiuquan is named after "there are springs under the city" and "its water is like wine". Jiuquan was one of the four counties in Hexi in Han Dynasty. 3. Zhangye: It is located in Zhangye County, meaning "Zhang Guo's arm is clumsy in crossing the western regions". Wuwei 1

Wuwei is short for "Liang" and "Yong". Known as Liangzhou, Yongzhou, Ancient Tibetan, Xiutu and Tuge in ancient times, it is the capital of ancient northwest and the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties.
