Tengchong County is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province, my country, and in the west of Baoshan City. It is only 200 kilometers away from Myitkyina, Myanmar, 602 kilometers away from Ledo, India, and 606 kilometers away from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province. Tengchong is also an important gateway for my country to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Here, there is a striking museum, which is the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum.

The museum is also my country's first privately funded and privately collected museum with the theme of the Anti-Japanese War. The curator is Duan Shengkui, a native of Tengchong County. Duan Shengkui was born in 1965 and has been involved in the Anti-Japanese War since he was a child. He had a strong interest in the relics and learned a lot about the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War.

Even though he joined the work, he still used his business time to continuously collect and sort out World War II relics among the people. He went deep into the primitive forest for many expeditions to Savage Mountain and dozens of times to search for traces in Myanmar and India. After more than 20 years of hard work, , Duan Shengkui collected more than 20,000 relics of the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War (excluding 260,000 Japanese military tickets and photos).

These relics are now collected in the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum. In a prominent position in the museum, there is a skull that catches the eye. If you understand the history behind it, it will make you cry.

After the outbreak of the Pacific War in 1942, the Japanese army quickly swept through the Burma area, trying to cut off the Burma Road and achieve the purpose of attacking China from both front and rear. However, our country formed an expeditionary force, and 100,000 soldiers crossed the country and went to Myanmar resisted Japan.

The Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War was also the earliest strategic counterattack launched against the Japanese army in our country’s eight-year war of resistance. It was also a bloody war of resistance. According to relevant statistics, there were 56,480 casualties among the 103,000 soldiers. It is worth knowing that , 30,000 of them died on Savage Mountain.

After the war, the survivors of the expeditionary force wrote a history of the Anti-Japanese War, "How many people fought in ancient times (Experienced the Anti-Japanese War in Yunnan and Burma)". Yeren Mountain is an undeveloped virgin forest north of Myitkyina, Myanmar. In the 1940s, no one had set foot in Yeren Mountain until the Chinese expeditionary force crossed Yeren Mountain and learned what this primitive forest was like. How dangerous.
