I came to Xiaobei in northern Shaanxi and stayed in Shenmu for a long time. I found that there are really many mountains in Shenmu, such as Erlang Mountain, Tiantai Mountain and Jiulong Mountain, which Xiaobei has been to. In this way, many mountains in Shenmu were not found, but inadvertently, Xiaobei went upstream along the Yellow River ferry and found another "sacred mountain" in Shenmu, that is, Phoenix Mountain.

Fenghuang Mountain is located in Qiangjiamao Village, northeast of Wanzhen Town, Shenmu, across the Yellow River from Linxian County, Shanxi Province. Why is it called Fenghuang Mountain? Legend has it that a phoenix fell on this mountain in the Tang Dynasty, hence its name. Therefore, there is a mountain in northern Shaanxi. At the top of the mountain, there is a phoenix that wants to fly high. When the Yellow River sees it, it will be diverted. It is called Phoenix Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, Xiaobei saw the appearance of the whole mountain, and began to climb the mountain. Looking up at the foot of the mountain, the steps made of carved stones climbed the wall, all the way to the mountain and straight into the clouds, which was fantastic and varied. Xiaobei trudged up along the guardrail on the steps of Shinto Cave, panting all the way, but standing halfway up the mountain, looking out, the Yellow River was flowing fiercely, and the mountains on both sides had a panoramic view.

After seeing the scenery, Xiaobei walked forward, and suddenly a quaint and elegant archway gatehouse appeared. It can be seen that the history of Fenghuang Mountain is very long. Xiaobei zigzagged up the steep stone steps, and the entrance of Fenghuang Mountain Temple Group came on the scene. There is also a huge limestone cave naturally formed on the stone wall of the mountain gate. Xiaobei found that there is also a tree that grows tenaciously in the stone wall.

On the way to the mountain, Xiaobei also found two grottoes on the cliff halfway up the mountain, which were built in the Tang Dynasty according to tourists. But only a few clay statues of stone tires can be seen. According to local people, the temples in Fenghuang Mountain were partially destroyed. Later, local people spontaneously raised funds to restore temples, theaters and other buildings. That's why such a magnificent scenery has been formed. At the foot of the mountain, a meeting room has been restored. Every year, operas are performed, and pilgrims from Qin Jin Province gather.

Xiaobei, panting all the way, finally reached the top of the mountain with difficulty. At first glance, it was worthwhile to feel tired again. Xiaobei Station looked down at the top of the mountain and watched the Yellow River rolling south at the foot of the mountain, which was magnificent and flowing endlessly. On the contrary, the simple and elegant temples, after the baptism of history, are simple and quiet, as if telling the myriad changes in the world.
