Guidance Notes for Tourist Visa Application (China citizens only)

To apply for a tourist visa, you need to go to the embassy in person, except in the following circumstances:

/kloc-applicants under the age of 0/6 can be represented by their parents, but they need to produce a birth certificate or household registration book (original and photocopy) that can prove their relationship;

If the applicant has retired, he can entrust others to handle it (a power of attorney indicating the client's name and ID number is required. )

If the applicant is sponsored by a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, please refer to Article 5.

To apply for a tourist visa, you must provide the following materials. When necessary, the embassy has the right to request the applicant to provide other materials:

1. The applicant's passport is valid for at least six months (from the date of going abroad) and has at least one blank visa page.

2. Form 14 filled in English (every item on page 1 and page 2 of the form should be filled in, and the date of application must be indicated by the applicant himself). Applicants must attach two recent 2-inch color photos. Please paste one color photo on the form 14 and the other color photo for scanning. Photos must meet the following requirements:

A recent photo taken within 3 months, with a photo size of 35mm (width) and 45mm (length) and no white border;

Face bareheaded (if hats or accessories are required to be worn according to special religions or customs, the hats and accessories shall not cover the applicant's facial features). Face size is 25mm (width) and 35mm (length);

White background.

3. Letter from the company where the applicant works agreeing to leave the company, and stating the working hours, position and salary of the applicant in the company. The letterhead used in the letter should indicate the company's name, address, telephone number and fax number. The letterhead needs to be stamped with official seal.

4. If the applicant has no job, one original and one copy of the household registration book are required. The original will be returned to the applicant after examination. Applicants can also provide relevant documents to prove that they have returned to China as scheduled, such as bank deposits to prove that they have sufficient funds.

5. If the applicant is sponsored by a Singapore citizen or a Singapore permanent resident in China, it is not necessary to comply with the provisions of Articles 3 and 4 above. However, the guarantor must submit the application to the embassy in person, and provide the completed V39A form and a copy of the guarantor's ID card.

6. The visa fee is RMB 102 per person.

7. Tourist visas are generally valid for 5 weeks from the date of issuance. Visa holders can enter and leave Singapore multiple times within five weeks. The number of days of each stay is determined by the officials of the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Bureau, with a maximum of 30 days.

8. The visa processing process takes three working days.

9. Before the application is approved, the applicant may require a deposit of 5 100 yuan per person. The embassy will notify the applicant to pay the deposit on the second working day after accepting the application. The applicant should indicate the home phone number or mobile phone number at the top left of the application form.

Application time: Monday to Friday at 8: 30 am-11:00.

Time for obtaining evidence: 3: 00 -4: 00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Important precautions

1. The application form can be downloaded from http://app.ica.gov.sg/serv_visitor/download.asp..

2. The original application materials will be returned to the applicant immediately after the visa window is reviewed.

3. Incomplete forms, materials or non-compliance may lead to visa refusal or delay in acceptance.

4. Whether the visa application is approved and the validity period of the approval shall be decided by the visa officer according to the applicant's personal situation.

Applicants should buy air tickets after their visas are approved. Singapore embassy is not responsible for any economic losses caused by the purchase of air tickets in advance and the denial of visas.

6. The date of issuance of a visa is generally the date of application for a visa. Once a visa is issued, its validity period will not change. Applicants should not submit application materials too early. If the visa has expired, the applicant must resubmit the application materials. Applicants should carefully check the date of issuance and validity of the visa when receiving it.

7. Visa holders are not necessarily allowed to enter Singapore. Singapore immigration and customs officials have the right to decide whether to enter the country. Visa holders must meet the entry requirements, such as a valid passport, sufficient funds and round-trip air tickets.

8. Officials of Singapore Immigration and Customs Office decide the number of days for visa holders to stay when they enter the country. The applicant should check the entry stamp of the passport and the approved period of stay.

Description of deposit payment

Applicants who need to pay the deposit will be notified by the embassy to go through the payment procedures on the second working day after submitting the application form. The applicant should collect the payment slip in duplicate (indicating his name, date of deposit, ID number and contact number) at the 18 counter on the first floor of the head office of China Bank, and deposit it in RMB 5 18 yuan, and then go to the embassy again with the first copy (receipt) of the payment slip stamped by the bank and the complete guarantee signed by the applicant. Get the visa on the second working day after completing the above procedures. The headquarters of China Bank is located in the northwest corner of Xidan Road. According to the relevant laws of Singapore, the applicant shall not violate the following provisions:

After the tourist visa expires, you may not stay in Singapore;

You cannot seek permanent residence in Singapore;

Do not work (paid or unpaid), do business or participate in other professional activities and activities that are not conducive to Singapore's security;

Do not take drugs, smuggle or sell drugs;

Those who violate the above provisions will be forfeited the deposit of RMB 5 100.

Instructions for refunding the deposit

1. Please take the initiative to show your passport and tourist visa card when entering Singapore. When you leave Singapore, officials at the Singapore border checkpoint will take back your visa card and stamp your passport with an exit stamp. If the visa card has not been recovered, please take the initiative to hand it over to the border inspector.

2. The deposit can only be refunded after the embassy receives the notice from the Immigration and Checkpoint Bureau. Applicants can call for consultation one month after leaving Singapore, and they can make an appointment to receive the guarantee after confirmation. The time for collecting the deposit is from 5th to 25th of each month. Tel: 6532 9379, (fax) 6532 9406.

Please pick up the cash check at the embassy at the appointed time, and then cash it at the counter on the first floor of China Bank Head Office 19-24.

4. If the applicant can't handle the deposit refund formalities in person, he can issue a power of attorney and attach a copy of the client's ID card. The client goes through the formalities at the embassy with the power of attorney, a copy of the applicant's passport and a deposit receipt.

If the applicant doesn't go to Singapore within the validity period of the visa: I need to bring my passport, visa card, receipt and letter of explanation I wrote to the embassy, and then I can make an appointment to collect the guarantee money.

6. If the receipt is lost, the applicant must submit the loss certificate or relevant notarial certificate of the Public Security Bureau to prove it.

7. If the visa card is not returned or the embassy is not authorized by the Immigration and Checkpoint Bureau to refund, copy the deposit receipt, the first page of the passport and the visa page with the entry and exit seal and send it to the embassy. After receiving your refund application, our embassy wrote to the Immigration and Checkpoint Bureau to ask about your situation. It will take more than two months.
