Parents, sister and brother

Sister Niwa Misato is also a table tennis player. She was born in August 1993. She participated in the 2011 World Cup as a member of the Japanese women’s team. Qingsai, currently studying at Shukutoku University, is active in Japan's student league. The siblings won a silver medal in mixed doubles together at the 2013 Summer Universiade (Kazan, Russia).
