Organizational Structure of Digital China Research Institute of Peking University

The college has set up a Council and an academic Committee, and implemented the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the Council. As a decision-making body, the Council is responsible for making decisions on major issues, and its members come from the national information management department, Peking University, relevant state ministries and commissions, local governments, international organizations, educational and scientific research institutions and enterprises. The first Council was composed of representatives from National People's Congress Resources and Environment Committee, the State Council Information Work Office, National Development and Reform Commission, General Office of the State Council, Ministry of Science and Technology, Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense/National Space Administration, Ministry of Water Resources, China Academy of Sciences, Information Promotion Department of Ministry of Information Industry, Professional and Technical Personnel Management Department of Ministry of Personnel, Immigration Planning Department of the State Council Three Gorges Office, Science and Technology Department of Ministry of Construction and Press and Publication Department of General Administration. Leaders of the Information Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources, leaders of local governments and departments such as Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, Deyang Municipal People's Government of Sichuan Province, Guangdong Information Industry Department, Shanghai Information Work Office and Beijing Information Resource Management Center, and leaders of enterprises such as Peking University Science Park, World Chinese Association, Shihua Group of Hong Kong, Digital China IT Service Group, Cisco Systems (China) Network Company, Galileo Satellite Navigation Company of China, FAO of the United Nations, and Asia-Pacific Economy and Society. Academic Committee is the academic leading body of the Institute, which is responsible for reviewing the main research directions of the Institute and deciding major academic issues. The Academic Committee consists of academicians in related fields and well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad.
