How to restore China nationality and household registration?

All kinds of legends about how difficult it is to restore China's nationality are sheer nonsense. I myself, Ding Bai, have successfully recovered.

I tell you from my personal experience that China nationality can be restored, and the procedure is very simple. It just takes a long time. Beijing needs 24 months. I don't know about other cities, except that Guangdong takes about six months. Return to the original household registration. Taking Beijing as an example, the steps are as follows:

1. Submit application:

According to the "Remarks" in Figure 1, prepare the materials in advance, and go to the information desk 1 on the second floor of Xiaojie Exit-Entry Administration Office to tell the staff that they intend to apply for the restoration of China nationality. The staff will contact the relevant person in charge through the internal telephone and arrange for you to meet the person in charge in the "Ethnic Affairs" window 1 1. The ethnic affairs window 1 1 is usually unattended.

Fill in the application form, resume, etc. Hand-written on the spot, allowed to be altered, and then submit the application.

Note: the "notice" I scanned and uploaded is version 20 15. There may be an update now, please refer to the following link:

China's entry, exit and restoration of nationality are examined and approved-a guide-Beijing online government service hall111.

2. Wait patiently:

After waiting for 24 months, there is no need to shout for progress, let alone rush it.

Note: During this period, you are still a foreigner. What visa should I apply for, where should I go and how should I live?

3. The application for reinstatement is approved:

At 24 months, the staff will call you to inform you of the result. If you don't get a call, you should go to the country by yourself and bring your foreign passport. The process is the same as "1". Contact 1 the person in charge of ethnic affairs at the consultation window first. If it has been approved, you will be given a copy of the China People's Nationality Certificate (see Figure 2). Please take this copy and your foreign passport to the "Shuangxiong Foreign Service Company" about 100 meters east of the entry-exit hall for translation and notarization. Get the notarial certificate in a few days.

Note: This only means that the application for restoration of nationality has been approved, but it does not mean that China nationality has been obtained.

4. Resign:

Assuming that your foreign nationality is nationality, you should contact the immigration bureau of a country or the relevant government departments to go through the formalities of withdrawing your nationality. Go to the website of the Immigration Bureau or relevant government departments to investigate how to withdraw nationality, send materials (including translation and notarization of re-entry certificates), and so on. Take Australia as an example. After receiving the materials, the Immigration Bureau will send an email within a few days, giving a reference number, which can track the progress on the website of the Immigration Bureau. I will receive a second email in about two weeks, asking to send them the original Australian passport and citizenship card. Upon receipt of the original passport and citizenship card, they will immediately approve and send an email notification. I have received an email from the Australian Immigration Bureau saying that my application for withdrawal has been approved and the certificate of withdrawal (see Figure 3) has been sent to me by registered mail.

Note: If the withdrawal will lead to statelessness, the application for withdrawal will be rejected, so China's "Re-entry Certificate" is required.

5. Restore China hukou:

After receiving the withdrawal voucher, it takes 1 hour to translate at Shuangxiong Company at the east 100 meter of the entrance hall of Xiaojie. Then go to the ethnic affairs window to hand in the translation. After charging 250 yuan for taking photos (Figure 4), I will get the original China Nationality Certificate (I won't upload it).

The entry and exit will send a secret letter to the Population Management Corps. A week later, bring the original re-admission certificate, real estate license and marriage certificate to the residence of the Population Management Corps, which is located in Chengshou Temple in the South Third Ring Road. The Population Management Corps will issue the Notice of Beijing Public Security Bureau (Figure 5). Take this form and other materials given to you by the Population Management Corps, plus the original of the real estate license, and you can go to the Guanpian police station to apply for the household registration book and ID card. The ID number is the same as before.

I have a household registration book and an ID card. Everyone has seen this ID card, so I won't upload it. )

After getting the household registration book, some online real-name authentication failed. It was not until I got my ID card that I successfully passed all online real-name authentication.

Some precautions:

1. Don't be intimidated by social rumors. It is not difficult to restore China nationality. You don't need a veteran to restore it. Ordinary people can also apply for restoration, and according to the introduction of the Ethnic Affairs Department of the Immigration Bureau, as long as there are no special circumstances, they can generally be approved.

2. Restoring China's nationality is a relaxed and humane procedure, and it will not make things difficult on purpose. The service attitude is also very good and patient. For example, the submitted materials are allowed to be altered, and some important materials are lost, which is also flexible. I lost my Australian citizenship card, which should have been provided according to the "remarks", but the staff was very reasonable and said that you would quit Australian citizenship in the future anyway, and it would be invalid if you reissued it. Don't make a fuss, just write a statement.

When you read this article, congratulations, you don't have to hit a wall everywhere and take many detours. Generally speaking, the restoration of China nationality is rare. People inside the public security system may not understand. A few years ago, I went to the police station for consultation. The police solemnly told me that almost no one could succeed and told me to go to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office for consultation. At that time, I thought he was in the public security system, and he was definitely right, so he gave up and dragged on for several years. Until the end of 20 15, I didn't give up and studied hard. I found that what the policeman said was pure nonsense: foreign Chinese have nothing to do with the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office! I'm telling you this to remind you that you must find the right department, that is, the exit-entry administration department, and don't trust anyone, even other departments in the public security system. Many people take it for granted and are completely irresponsible.

After writing so much, there are only two things that matter most:

1. I know that it is not difficult to restore China nationality; 2. Find the right department, take the right first step, and the rest of the procedure will be simple.

Frequently asked questions:

1. Why do you want to restore China nationality?

The reason for restoring China nationality is as I wrote in my application for restoring nationality:

——————————————————————————————————————

The reasons for my application for restoration of China nationality are as follows:

I submitted my application for skilled migration to the Australian Immigration Bureau at 200X, and it was successful. At that time, I was only 2X years old, and I had infinite expectations for overseas life. After living in Australia for five years, I applied for Australian citizenship without careful consideration. As time goes by, parents living in Beijing are getting older and need to be taken care of. In addition, we feel more and more that living in a foreign country, due to cultural reasons, is far from being so happy and have a sense of belonging in Beijing, so my wife and I returned to China in 20 10 and 12, and never went to Australia to live formally again. Our son was born in Beijing on May 8th, 201X. We resolutely gave up his chance to apply for Australian citizenship and chose to register in Beijing. This means that I am destined to live in Beijing with my wife, son and parents for a long time. My Australian citizenship will not bring any convenience to my life, but may increase trouble. Besides, as a China citizen, holding a foreign passport makes me feel uncomfortable psychologically. Now China is getting stronger and stronger, and its international status is getting higher and higher. As a China person, it has a strong sense of pride. These are the reasons why I applied for the restoration of China nationality.

My application for restoration of China nationality is entirely voluntary and supported by my family. I will live in China permanently and voluntarily abide by the Constitution and laws of China.

All the above statements are voluntary and heartfelt.

★: Before and after the son was born, his wife held an expired Australian permanent resident visa, which was China nationality and Beijing hukou, so his son was China nationality and Beijing hukou.

On the one hand, staying in a five-star hotel for a week still feels wonderful, but staying for a month makes you feel bored. Living for a year must be crazy, but you still feel comfortable at home. On the other hand, China has developed rapidly, while western countries have stagnated, and China has surpassed it in many aspects. At first, I will be intoxicated by the blue sky and white clouds. After a long time, the novelty will pass.

2. Can I keep my Australian green card when I retire from Australian citizenship?

e

From the date we approve your application, you will no longer be an Australian citizen.

If you are in Australia when your application is approved, you will automatically become a former citizen visa holder. No need to apply for a visa.

A former citizen visa is a permanent residence visa. If you choose to leave, it is not allowed to re-enter Australia. If you plan to leave Australia and want to come back, apply for A? Resident return visa? Before you leave.

If you are not in Australia when your application is approved and you want to go to Australia, you need to apply for a visa that suits your situation.

If we reject your application, we will give you a letter explaining the reasons for rejecting your application. You have the right to ask for a review of this decision. Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

Your letter will tell you where you can apply for review and the time limit for submitting your application.

3. I am a foreign national, but my China account has not been cancelled. Can I renounce my foreign nationality before retaining my China nationality?

You can't. Article 9 of the Nationality Law stipulates that China citizens who have settled in a foreign country will automatically lose their China nationality if they voluntarily join or acquire foreign nationality. In other words, if you join a foreign nationality, your China nationality will be automatically lost. Although your household registration ID card is still there, it is actually invalid, but the China municipal government does not know it for the time being and does not intervene. If you want to acquire China nationality, you can only take the road of "restoring China nationality", and there is no shortcut. If you want to live in China for decades, you'd better go through legal procedures.

4. Both husband and wife are from China, and their children are overseas and of foreign nationality. Can their children apply for citizenship in China?

Yes, it's just that both husband and wife have to return to China, which is one of the prerequisites.

Note: This is an oral reply from the responsible comrades of entry-exit ethnic affairs in Beijing. Please judge the reliability by yourself. I am looking for a friend.

5. After joining a foreign nationality, can you try to retain China nationality so as to realize de facto dual nationality?

Article 9 of the Nationality Law: A citizen of China who has settled in a foreign country and voluntarily joined or acquired a foreign nationality will automatically lose his China nationality.

There are various strategies circulating on the Internet to teach you how to get in and out of China and ensure that your foreign identity will not be discovered by the China government. I don't provide a guide, please search for it yourself.

If you live overseas for a long time and occasionally return to China briefly, that's fine. After all, many things are done with ID cards before going abroad: bank card, stock market, real estate, mobile phone number, Alipay, etc. If you don't have a hukou and an ID card, it's really troublesome and understandable. Even if the government discovers your foreign status, it will not force you to cancel your account immediately.

But if you live in China permanently in the next few decades, that's another matter. Your China nationality was automatically lost when you entered a foreign country that year. Legally speaking, these decades have been illegal detention. If one day your foreign identity is discovered, you won't die miserably.

You can find an article on the Internet saying that you can retain China nationality according to the provisions of the Nationality Law after joining foreigners. What the article says is basically nonsense, and the case is not universal. This is simply unrealistic. Don't take it seriously

6. What should I do before I have a new ID card for my bank card, driver's license, motor vehicle, social security, medical care and real estate in China?

Housing property rights are not lost due to nationality change. I consulted the housing management department in Beijing and got the answer: the real estate registration certificate does not need to be changed, and it can continue to be held. If you need to dispose of it, such as selling a house, you can go to a foreign embassy in China to make a "declaration of the same person." Note that the Australian embassy can hold a "declaration of the same person" instead of a certificate. Handwriting, bilingual, consular signature. Then I went to the notary office to do translation notarization, and many departments recognized this material. With the translation and notarization of this "statement of the same person", the house can be sold smoothly. Please consult other cities yourself.

Bank account numbers will not be affected. Many banking businesses don't need to go to the counter. Personally, I don't think it is necessary to change it without an ID card. Try to use online banking or ATM instead of dealing with the counter. The social security situation is similar. If you pay social security yourself, you should not change your payment. If you get your ID card again, you can achieve seamless connection.

I personally changed my motor vehicle driving license and driver's license. Because the traffic management department belongs to the public security system, it must know that the ID card has been cancelled.

Medical system. I didn't go to the hospital when I didn't have my ID card. I don't know what to do. The online registration system will be unusable because of the cancellation of the ID card. I think I should use my passport to register in the hospital. Welcome experienced friends to share.
