Traffic in Jiudian Gorge

Jiudianxia Zanggu Highway is a rural highway from Zhuoni Zangbawa Township Government to Gumawo Platform. This is the first expressway project undertaken by Jonny to restore immigrants. Designed by Gansu Provincial Water Conservancy and Hydropower Survey and Design Institute, it is built according to the standard of Grade IV highway in mountainous and hilly areas. The total length is 6.94 kilometers, the designed carriageway width is 3.5 meters, the subgrade width is 4.5 meters, and the calculated driving speed is 20 kilometers per hour. On September 1 day, 2004, Zhuoni Transportation Bureau dispatched four technical backbones to form the on-site office of the highway stationed in Tibet, established and improved various management systems, implemented responsibility objectives, abandoned holidays and weekends, adhered to the guidance in the station, and carried out construction in strict accordance with construction specifications and design requirements. After unremitting efforts, the project construction task was successfully completed on May 30, 2005, with a total engineering amount of 4.66 million yuan.

On July 26th, 2005, Zhuoni Municipal Government organized the completion acceptance of Zanggu Highway, and invited relevant leaders of Gannan Prefecture to participate in the completion acceptance. Through spot check by the project acceptance team, the project quality is assessed as excellent and the traffic safety facilities are qualified. At this point, the Zanggu Highway in Jiudianxia Reservoir Area successfully passed the pre-acceptance of completion.
