How to use this self-service customs clearance system?

It is recommended that you download the mobile APP(canboard-e declaration) in China before you leave. It doesn't matter if you can't download this APP. Airport self-service machines can also be filled in on the spot, and Chinese options are provided.

Fill in the electronic entry APPlication on the mobile app software in advance on the day of travel:

1. Click "My Declaration" to start the declaration.

2. Select the airport that is about to enter the customs and "arrive at the airport". At present, only Vancouver Airport and Ottawa Airport are open. For students and travelers from China, you can only choose Vancouver (YVR).

3. Choose the destination (one out of three):

America only (directly from America),

4. Click "Confirm" in the lower right corner.

5. Click on the bottom left to add the name of the inbound passenger "Add New Passenger".

6. Enter a nickname at will, such as Jason.

7. Question "Are you a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident" Are you a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident? If you are an international student or a tourist, please return "No".

8. Choose your place of residence.

If it is your first time to go to school, please choose "China, China, People's Republic of China (PRC)".

If you are not a first-time student, but still hold a valid study permit, please choose Canada.

If parents visit relatives or travel, please choose "China, China, People's Republic of China (PRC)".

9. Click Confirm in the lower right corner to confirm.

10. Select the travel purpose.

15. The last step: check and confirm the contents filled in before. If you confirm, click Create QR Code in the lower right corner.
