The total investment of Daxigou Reservoir Project is estimated to be about 728 million yuan, which consists of dam, spillway, spillway tunnel and diversion tunnel. Daxigou Reservoir is a flood control and water conservancy project in the upper reaches of Urumqi River Basin. The construction of the reservoir, combined with the flood diversion project and the existing flood control project, can raise the flood control standard of Urumqi from once every 30 years to once every 200 years, and completely eliminate the hidden dangers of people's lives and property safety in Urumqi River basin in flood season, such as Urumqi, fukang city, Miquan and the Sixth Agricultural Division of the Corps. It can make Wulabo and Hongyanchi reservoirs no longer undertake flood control tasks, and save 67 million cubic meters of water discharged by Teng Reservoir.
