The procedures for taking pets abroad are as follows:

1, valid ID. Pet owners should provide valid identification documents such as passports, which should be within the validity period;

2, pet rabies vaccination certificate. The rabies vaccination certificate issued by the local veterinary department or pet hospital should be provided, and the rabies vaccination should be within the validity period. Some countries have special requirements for vaccination, such as Japan and Singapore, which require information on rabies vaccination in the past two times;

3. Implant a pet chip. Most countries or regions need to implant chips for pets, and the chips should meet the requirements of international standards ISO 1 1784 and 1 1785. If the electronic chip implanted in the pet does not meet the requirements, the carrier or his agent shall bring his own reading and writing equipment that can read the number of the implanted chip to the quarantine inspection site for verification;

4. Rabies immune antibody serum report issued by an officially recognized laboratory in the destination country or region. The test result of rabies immune antibody in the test report should be greater than 0.5 iu/ml;

5. Apply for entry permit. Some countries or regions need to apply for entry permits, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa and United Arab Emirates.

6. Insect repellent treatment. Pet dogs entering the European Union need to be treated with deworming (Echinococcus multilocularis), and the validity period is 120 hours;

7. Animal health certificate is required. All countries require imported pets to be accompanied by an official animal health certificate issued by the exporting country. Some countries or regions have specific and different requirements for the format of certificates, additional specific statements, validity period, etc.
