On the customs declaration form sent to you on the plane, there is one item: Do you have any plant products? Tick it.

Under normal circumstances, the US Customs will not open the box for inspection. As long as you don't write it, you won't ask. Even if you are found, you won't be fined. Take it with you.

I'll fill out two forms for you on the plane. One is white and the other is blue. Fill them out in English. The white one is an I-94 form for immigration officers. Then go to claim the luggage, get it and go through the customs, go forward with the immigration form, go through the machine with the box, and then ask if there is anything to eat. If the airport in your destination city is not an international airport, you have to pull your luggage out of the international airport and pass the customs inspection.
