The issue of household registration and schooling~!

Hukou is closely related to children's schooling. If children with non-local hukou go to school, it is more difficult than for children with local hukou and more materials are required.

Materials required for school-age children with migrant household registration to apply to attend primary school:

(1) Household registration book and ID card of parents or other legal guardians in their original place of residence.

(2) A valid residence permit issued by the local public security department for one year or more.

(3) Proof of residence (renting) of parents or other legal guardians, including real estate certificate (room card), house purchase contract and payment voucher, housing rental contract and other materials.

(4) Proof of parents working or other relevant work certificates of legal business (business license). Proof of employment shall be based on one parent or other legal guardian having a social insurance payment record of 1 year or more. Social insurance items shall be subject to those announced by the Municipal People's Insurance Department; those engaged in domestic service, self-employment, etc. are not subject to the interim insurance measures. Other personnel must provide proof of employment for 1 year or more issued by their work unit and the township or street community where they live.

(5) The child’s birth certificate, vaccination certificate, and relevant certificates that comply with the family planning policy of the place of residence.
