Studying in Australia, I want to go to the United States to find a job after graduation. How should I get a visa to the United States?

1. If you want to work in America, you need to apply for a work visa. For college graduates, they should generally apply for H-1B;

2. Before applying for a work visa to the US Embassy or Consulate General, the applicant must hold the approved form I- 129, that is, USCIS's approval of the application of non-immigrant short-term workers;

3. The applicant has no right to apply for this approval. On the contrary, an American company that intends to hire an applicant will submit an application to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service six months before the applicant's scheduled entry time.

4. If the application is approved, the employing company will be issued with I-797 form (approval notice).

Only after you get the approved I- 129 form can you apply for a work visa.

6. If you have the I- 129 form, you can apply for a work visa at the American Consulate.
