Where is Dongzhuang Water Control Project in Shaanxi Province?

It is located at the junction of Chigan Town, Liquan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province and Chewu Town, Chunhua County, and at the end of the lower reaches of Jinghe River, a secondary tributary of the Yellow River.

Dongzhuang Water Control Project is a water conservancy project with the largest storage capacity, the highest dam height and the largest investment in a single project in Shaanxi, and it is the only large-scale water conservancy project under construction with the function of regulating water and sediment in China. The main buildings of the project are composed of concrete hyperbolic arch dam, water discharge and energy dissipation system, water diversion and power generation system, water supply project intake tower, etc. The concrete hyperbolic arch dam is 230 meters high and has a total storage capacity of 3.276 billion cubic meters.
