Brief introduction to the story of illegal immigrants

Illegal Immigrants is a blockbuster in Zhang Wanting and Alex Law. When it was released that year, it was well received by film critics and won the 1985 Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Director. Director Zhang Wanting used documentary drama to describe the blood and tears of China immigrants living in new york, which was mixed with sadness and joy. The film also uses non-professional actors to interpret real cases, interweaving the friendship, love and ideal dreams of young stowaways. In the film, the young Zhang Junqiu (Yung-cho Ching) is found to be an illegal immigrant, and he wants to raise money to return to the smuggling ring. On the other hand, he hopes to get the right of abode through fake marriage, so he keeps looking for fake marriage partners. It also tells the different fate of other illegal immigrants, and the shooting method is calm and warm. Illegal Immigrants is regarded as the first trilogy of immigrants from Zhang Wanting and Alex Law, followed by Fairy Tales in Autumn and Ye Jingsheng.
