B) In addition to the contract and the letter of confirmation for studying abroad, it may be necessary to submit a copy of the business license of the institution studying abroad.

C) For students who study abroad by self-examination, some passport agencies require to submit university admission notices.

D) Some local colleges and universities still require the submission of contracts, study abroad confirmations and payment invoices signed with overseas colleges and universities, even if they hold the admission notice.

Passport Law of the People's Republic of China Article 5 Citizens who go abroad for non-official reasons, such as settling abroad, visiting relatives, studying, working, traveling and engaging in business activities, shall apply for an ordinary passport to the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level where their household registration is located.
