How to apply for a Maltese passport

Investors obtained Maltese passports through donations to Malta's National Fund for Social Development. Application conditions:

Principal applicant:

1. At least 18 years old;

2. Pass due diligence;

3. Physical examination: prove that the applicant is healthy and free from infectious diseases;

4. Hold a residence permit in Malta 12 months;

5. Buy global health insurance with a coverage of at least 50,000 euros/year/person;

6. Provide proof of no crime;

7. Invest in three parts. Subsidiary applicant: spouse; 18-26 years old minor children, unmarried and economically dependent children; Parents and grandparents over 55 years old (excluding 55 years old) who are financially dependent on the main applicant and spouse.

Investment criteria:

Invest in the following three parts:

1) Donated 650,000 euros to Malta National Development Fund;

2) Purchase a residential property with a value of at least 350,000 euros and hold it for at least 5 years; Or lease a residential property for 5 years, with an annual rent of at least 1.6 million euros.

3) Stocks/bonds with an investment value of at least 6,543,800+500,000 euros, held for at least five years and certified by Malta Identity Bureau.

The application process includes:

1, power of attorney of the authorized agent. The power of attorney is valid until the end of the procedure.

2. Conduct due diligence, then perform due diligence on behalf of the agent and submit the application. After that, Maltese community agencies and the police will further conduct due diligence. If the application is approved by both parties, the procedure will continue.

3. Citizenship Submit a citizenship form to obtain a residence permit. At the same time, the agent must submit the applicant's birth certificate and marriage certificate to the public registry and passport office. Those who meet the investment and residence requirements will be invited to Malta to swear allegiance. Eventually you will receive a naturalization certificate and a Maltese passport.
