Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa. April 1980 was founded independently. Zimbabwe was formerly known as Rhodesia before 1980, and its name came from Cecil Rhodes, who established a colony in this area for Britain. Zimbabwe has experienced severe hyperinflation, but since the US dollar and South African rand were used to replace its national currency in 2009, inflation has gradually stabilized.
