Can I change my nationality back to China by joining a foreign nationality?

You can change your nationality back to China. However, there are conditions. The conditions for applying for the restoration of China nationality are:

1, foreign Chinese or Chinese who once had China nationality;

2. There are legitimate reasons: there are close relatives from China for work reasons (close relatives only refer to spouses, parents, children, brothers and sisters);

3. Have certain economic ability and housing conditions.

Article 2 of the Passport Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates that the China passport is a certificate for China citizens to enter and leave the country and prove their nationality and identity abroad. Therefore, China passport holders have China nationality in principle. China citizens living in foreign countries voluntarily join or acquire foreign nationality.

At the same time, Article 2 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates that People's Republic of China (PRC) is a unified multi-ethnic country, and all ethnic groups have China nationality. People's Republic of China (PRC) does not recognize dual citizenship of China citizens.
