The history of Jiangxi Hakkas
Jiangxi Hakkas are mainly distributed in the southern part of Jiangxi, which is commonly known as "Southern Gansu". Others are distributed in southern Ji'an, southern Fuzhou, and Tonggu County in northwest Jiangxi. Starting from the Song Dynasty, Han people from the Central Plains migrated southward on a large scale, passing through southern Jiangxi and western Fujian to eastern Guangdong, eventually forming a relatively mature and highly stable Hakka ethnic group. Some immigrants stayed in Jiangxi and Gannan and thrived here.
