Global warming, is mankind heading for prosperity or extinction?

When I answered this question, I first thought that I definitely didn't answer it professionally. But I saw on TV that if the global temperature rises, the glaciers at the north and south poles will begin to melt, and the melted water will flood all the plains and some small countries or coastal countries and cities. Anyway, global warming is bound to die!
