China government's views and opinions on human rights

First, pay more attention to the right to development so that everyone can enjoy the fruits of economic globalization. The international community should pay more attention to economic, social and cultural rights, such as the right to life, food and health, and promote international cooperation. Developed countries should fulfill their commitments in capital, technology, debt reduction and market access, and create favorable conditions for effectively promoting the wide realization of the right to development.

Second, make greater efforts to eliminate discrimination and build a harmonious world. The international community should pay attention to the rights of vulnerable groups such as women, children, disabled people, migrant workers and indigenous people, actively promote the effective implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, effectively implement the "zero tolerance" policy against racism at the national and international levels, and do not provide conditions for the survival and development of any form of racism for any reason.

Third, pay more attention to eliminating politicization and confrontation and maintain a good atmosphere for international dialogue in the field of human rights. All countries should make full use of the United Nations platform to discuss and solve human rights issues in a constructive way, avoiding politicization, selectivity and double standards. Blame, pressure and sanctions will not promote and protect human rights, but will only provoke confrontation and aggravate tensions. Differences between countries should be resolved through cooperation and dialogue.

Finally, Ambassador Wang Min pointed out that since the beginning of this year, many major natural disasters have occurred in many areas of China. Based on the concept of governing for the people, putting people first and attaching importance to life, the China Municipal Government has vigorously carried out disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction, effectively promoting and protecting people's basic human rights.
