Volcanic eruption in Chile 202 1

On 2021May 15, the VillarricaVolcano volcano in Merca, southern Chile erupted, giving off a huge volcanic eruption sound and a volcanic ash fog column as high as 4 kilometers. The height of the fog column reaches 1400 meters, which emits smoke, volcanic rocks, volcanic jets and other substances, so nearby residents and tourists need to be evacuated urgently.

Shortly after the eruption, the authorities issued a short red alert, indicating that the nearby area may face the threat of a large-scale volcanic eruption. The authorities also ordered residents of all towns within a radius of 10 km to evacuate in the shortest time.
