Where is Lake Rome in Jiangsu?

Lake Rome belongs to the junction of Suqian and Xuzhou.

Lake Rome is located in the northern part of Jiangsu Province, spanning Suqian and Xuzhou, and is known as Male Lake in history. The lake basin is a local depression of the Tan-Lu fault zone. After the Yellow River captured the Huaihe River, it became the seasonal flood storage and detention area of the Yihe River and the Central Canal.

1952, Zaohe sluice and Yanghetan sluice were built in Shuzheng Project of Yi Dao, and 1958, Zhangshan sluice and levee around the lake were built to become flood detention reservoirs. The lake covers an area of 296 square kilometers (corresponding to the water level of 2 1.8 1m) with a storage capacity of 270 million cubic meters. The maximum width is 20km, the lake bottom elevation is 18 ~ 2 1m, the maximum water depth is 5.5m, and there are more than 60 islands. It is the fourth largest freshwater lake in Jiangsu.

Lake Rome has the advantages of irrigation, flood regulation, shipping and aquatic products. There are more than 20 kinds of aquatic plants such as reed, lotus root, water chestnut and cattail in the lake area, and there are many kinds of aquatic products such as crucian carp, whitebait, silver carp, freshwater shrimp, white shrimp, crab and mussel.

Main tributaries:

1. Upstream channel: yi river, which originates from Lushan, Yiyuan County, Shandong Province, passes through Yishui, Yinan, Linyi and Tancheng in the south, enters Jiangsu in Qicun, Pizhou, and enters Roman Lake in Xinyi Temple, with a total length of 333 kilometers (45.5 kilometers in Jiangsu). The area of yi river River basin above Roman Lake is1./kloc. The upper reaches are hilly and mountainous areas, and gradually enter the plains below Linyi. The peak height is high in flood season, and the flow is often cut off in dry season.

2. Downstream channel: Xinyi River is the main manually excavated flood discharge channel in the lower reaches of Yishu Sishui River system from 1949 to 1952 in the early days of the People's Republic of China, with a length of 186 km from Huayi to Haikou via Roman Lake.

Among them, below Lushan Mountain 146 km, it starts from the Lushan Gate of Roman Lake, goes eastward along the borders of Pizhou, Xinyi and Suqian County (now Suqian City), passes through the borders of Shuyang County, and enters the sea along the borders of Guanyun and guannan county. The undertaken flood drainage basin covers an area of more than 7,000 square kilometers, with a total area of nearly 60,000 square kilometers.
