The Human History of Changtai Town

Changtai Town is the birthplace of revolutionary fire in Putian. The detachment headquarters and the Fujian Special Committee Office are also located in Changtai Jichuan. 1936 In May, in order to meet the needs of the situation of "resisting Japan and Chiang Kai-shek", the Fujian-China Special Committee formally established the "Fujian-China Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army" in Changtai Jichuan, and its office is still located here. In June, 1942, 1 1, the special commission organs and radio stations were safely transferred from Fuqing to Changtai base area via Yongtai. The organ and radio station are located on the "Niunaobi" mountain in Jichuan, and the director is Liu, a cadre in the Long March. 1August, 943, Fujian provincial party Committee moved back to Changtai from northern Fujian.

1958, in the center of Changtai Town, Putian County built Dongzhen Reservoir with the second largest storage capacity in the province. In order to benefit millions of people in the county, Changtai people carried forward the spirit of selfless dedication of the people in the old areas, flooded ten thousand mu of fertile land and relocated 2885 farmers with a population of 6.5438+0.42 million.
