How strange is the Nanjing dialect in flowers of war?

The old Nanjing dialect before liberation is now Liuhe dialect, which is the Nanjing mandarin in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nanjing should have spoken Wu dialect in ancient times a long time ago, but after the Ming Dynasty made Nanjing its capital, because Zhu Yuanzhang was from Anhui, a large number of immigrants came from the north and merged into the "Nanjing Metropolitan Area" at that time, including Nanjing downtown, Liuhe, Pukou, Jiangning and Lishui. Because the ruling class speaks Jianghuai dialect, the Wu dialect in Nanjing finally disappeared, and now it only exists in Gaochun. Although Wu dialect in Nanjing has basically disappeared, traces of Wu dialect can still be found in dialects of Liuhe, Pukou, Jiangning and Lishui, such as "Qu" pronounced as "tune" and "Ge" pronounced as "fruit". The "Nanjing dialect" we are hearing now is the product of recent years, which has been completely "Putonghua-oriented" and lost its original characteristics. That's because a large part of the post-80s generation in Nanjing is the second generation of immigrants from the north (such as Manchuria, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and other places). After their parents came to Nanjing, they merged Putonghua with the old Nanjing dialect, and the Nanjing dialect we hear now appeared. Because this new Nanjing dialect is very easy to learn and understand, everyone has followed suit. But if grandparents grew up in Nanjing, their grandchildren should be able to understand the old Nanjing dialect in the movie, but the second generation of immigrants may not understand it. The old Nanjing dialect in the film is still popular in Confucius Temple, Liuhe, Pukou and Jiangning in Nanjing.
