Old Tarquin’s life experience

The military democracy of Rome came to an end when the Etruscans seized the throne after the death of the fourth king, Ancus Marcius. The name of this Etruscan was Tarquin Priscus, also known as Old Tarquin. Various legends do not mention that after Anku's death there was a senatorial regent and the usual election①, it can be seen that the old Tarquin broke the old system and established himself as king by relying on the economic strength or even force of the Etruscans in Rome.
