Is Australian architectural design an immigration major?

Architecture is also a major that is in short supply in Australia and has good employment prospects. Architecture students can not only get a career bonus of 60 points after graduation, but also get a short-term career bonus of 15 points after finding a job.

To become an architect, Australian states have different requirements, but they all have to go through the following three steps:

The first step is to have a degree in architecture (usually bachelor degree or above), or to pass the assessment of national plans, or to pass the examinations of various States (from the perspective of immigration assessment, if you meet the requirements of this step, you can score 60 points in the vocational assessment). If you have a bachelor's degree in architecture in China for five years or more, you may pass the evaluation of this overseas education, but it is very difficult. It will be easier if you study AACA-certified courses in university.

In the second step, you need to go to the Royal Australian Institute of Architects for certification and be assessed as a preparatory architect in the sense of immigration. As an architect, there are two ways to evaluate. The first is to obtain an architecture degree from an Australian university (the current setting is generally 3-year undergraduate +2-year master's degree), and the second is to pass the National Program of Assessment or the examinations of various States (from the perspective of immigration assessment, if you meet the requirements of this step, you can score 60 points in the career assessment).

Step 3: After emigration, in order to obtain formal architect qualification, you need to register with the state architects' committees, pass the architectural practice examination (APE) of AACA Institute of Architects (Australia), and have certain working experience before you can become a real architect successfully.
