BC Place Gymnasium is a multi-functional gymnasium located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is run by PavCo, a public organization under the British Columbia government. Completed in 1983, the gymnasium is the first dome-shaped stadium in Canada. At that time, its roof was an elastic membrane supported by air pressure. It used to be the largest gymnasium of its kind in the world, and was nicknamed "pineapple bag" by Vancouver Chinese because of its appearance. From 20 10 to 20 1 1, the stadium was rebuilt and the roof was changed to open and close design.

British Columbia Gymnasium has been the home of British Columbia Lions under the Canadian Football League since its opening, and has been the home of Vancouver Whitewater under Major League Soccer since 20 1 1. The opening and closing ceremonies of the World Expo 1986 and the Winter Olympic Games 20 10, as well as the opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympic Games 20 10, were held in this venue for the first time in previous Olympic Games. There is a monument to athlete terry fox outside the stadium, and the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame is located in the stadium.

At the same time, Vancouver became one of the bidding cities because Canada hosted the 20 15 Women's World Cup. The Women's World Cup in British Columbia Gymnasium will have nine events, including five group matches, two 16 top matches, a semi-final and a final.

The venue is located on the north bank of Fuxi, near the Vancouver Elevated Stadium-Chinatown Station Stadium.
