Introduction to Halifax
Halifax, the capital and largest city of Nova Scotia, Canada. The largest port city in Atlantic coastal provinces is the second largest natural deep-water port in the world. Located on a peninsula in southern Nova Scotia, near the Atlantic Ocean, it is one of the deepest ice-free ports in the world. Because of its strategic location, it is called the "northern gateway".
