Hubei Provincial Museum is a temple for the preservation and dissemination of Jingchu culture and one of the important carriers of Chinese civilization. The collection of cultural relics is very rich, reaching more than 240,000 pieces (sets), including 945 pieces (sets) of first-class cultural relics and 6 pieces (sets) of National Treasure/KLOC-0.

In order to give full play to the cultural characteristics of Jingchu, when the third phase expansion project of the museum is about to be completed, it is planned to expand the existing four "treasures of the town hall" such as Zeng Houyi's chime, Yue Wang Gou Jian Jian's sword, Yun County human skull fossil and Yuan Qinghua's four love map plum bottles into ten "treasures of the town hall".

1, Ceng Houyi rings the bell.

1978 unearthed from the tomb of Zeng Houyi in Sui County, Hubei Province during the Warring States Period. Sixty-five chimes are arranged in three layers, and eight groups are hung on a square bronze clock rack. Each clock can play two tones in a third scale, and a full set of clocks can be played in unison with twelve semitones, which can be rotated in the palace.

2. Gou Jianjian, King of Yue

1965 was unearthed at tombNo. 1, Wangshan Chu Tomb Group, jiangling county, Jingzhou, with a length of 55.7 cm. It is a treasure in bronze weapons, which embodies the highest level of short weapon manufacturing at that time. It was the sword of Gou Jian, the King of Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period.

3, Yunxian human skull fossils

Unearthed at Quyuan Hekou School in Yunxian County 1989 Liangzi, it is the first ancient human skull fossil found in Hubei Province. According to the paleomagnetic method, the fossil is about1100,000 years ago.

4, Yuan Qinghua four love map plum bottle

This plum vase was unearthed in Ying Wangjing's tomb in Zhongxiang City in 2006. There are four windows in the belly of the vase, which respectively depict Wang Xizhi's Ailan, Tao Yuanming's Ai Ju, Zhou Dunyi's Ailian and Lin Hejing's Ai He Mei, hence the name "Four love figure", which is the representative work of blue and white porcelain in Yuan Dynasty.

5, Ceng Houyi Zunpan

Unearthed with the chimes of Zeng Houyi are the most complicated and exquisite bronzes in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The main body of the copper plate is decorated with 56 dragons and 48 clams, and the words "Ceng Houyi is the last one" are engraved on the bottom of the inner side of the plate.

6. Qin Bamboo Slips in Sleeping Tiger Land

1975 Qin bamboo slips unearthed from tomb 1 1 in Shuihudi, Chengguan, Yunmeng County, recorded the laws and official documents at that time, and were precious historical materials for studying politics, economy, culture, law and military affairs from the late Warring States period to Qin Shihuang.

7. Tiger Bird Drum

An important musical instrument of the State of Chu in the Warring States Period is a precious lacquer ware of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty unearthed from Tomb No.2 of Jiuliandun in Zaoyang City, which has strong Chu cultural characteristics.

8. Draw figures, chariots and horses.

1987 was unearthed in Baoshan No.2 Tomb, Jingmen City, Hubei Province. The outer wall of the lacquer casket is painted with scenes of chariots and horses coming and going during the Warring States period. The painter used five trees to fly in the wind, separating four groups of interrelated pictures, with 26 characters with different postures, which was the earliest "comic book" in China.

9. Stone River Jade Statue

The Shijiahe cultural site in Tianmen, unearthed 4200-4000 years ago, is lifelike, dignified and mysterious. The peak of prehistoric jade in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is a distinctive jade culture.

10, Chongyang Tonggu
